I read a beautiful blog post, Breathing, the Brain, and Bone Marrow by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and was reminded of a section on p. 170 of her book, Sensing, Feeling, and Action, titled “Calling the Blood to the Bones”. I arrived at the studio feeling brittle, raw, and under nourished…all the way into my bones. I sat with my eyes closed and breathed a little deeper. I felt my bones and called the oxygenated blood to them. It worked. I felt so much better. Below is the word cloud that came from our conversation after practice.
